The Zhurong Award was founded by the China Building Decoration Association in 2009 and is one of the earliest design competitions in China dedicated to promoting and popularizing lighting design and energy-saving concepts nationwide. After 14 years of persistent interactive learning among architects, interior designers, and lighting designers, the Zhurong Award has become an influential brand event in the Chinese design industry. The Zhurong Award has also become a highly respected authoritative award in the lighting design industry, known as a benchmark for lighting design.

In June 2024, the 16th CBDA Lighting Application Design Competition of the 2024 Zhurong Award was grandly held in Nanjing. As one of the most authoritative and popular professional events in China's lighting design field, the 16th CBDA Lighting Application Design Competition of the 2024 Zhurong Award gathered hundreds of industry experts to work together to build a multi angle, multi-channel, and multi-level lighting industry ecosystem.

In this sub competition, all lighting projects participated by ELD have won the Zhurong Award, including the second prize in the commercial space lighting category and the second prize in the architectural landscape lighting category, and have advanced to the national semi-finals of the Zhurong Award.

YOYO CITY is the sixth generation urban commercial complex in Yinchuan, with a total construction area of 200000 square meters. It plans to build a 130000 square meter shopping center, a 50000 square meter commercial outer street, and a 20000 square meter themed commercial street. Jianfa Youyue City is committed to making Yinchuan easier to explore, more fun to sleep in, and more ecological.

The inspiration for the lighting design of Jianfa Youyue City is to showcase diverse architectural styles, create a rich and luxurious shopping environment atmosphere, and reflect the colorful regional culture of the Loess Plateau and Ningxia Plain. The focus of the lighting design is to highlight the display of the main entrance and spiritual fortress of the commercial building, and to create a city level landmark night scene check-in point through the facade and indoor lighting effects of the buildings along the street. Dynamic interactive lighting is used to light up the nightlife of Youyue City in the south.

The indoor commercial area of Youyue City has five main themes in Ningxia: the first indoor waterfall ecological landscape, the first indoor rooftop garden, a floating bubble world, a vertical green experience ecological theater, and a pixel atrium. The indoor lighting of the mall is mainly designed and innovated around these theme scenes, reflecting the unique business model of "business+culture+tourism" through the combination of lighting and interior design elements. By constantly changing the lighting mode, the mall presents a modern, artistic, and technological atmosphere, allowing consumers to feel a "young, fashionable, trendy, natural, and diverse" consumption experience, and creating Yinchuan's first "customized beautiful life center".
