IDA (International Design Awards) is one of the most authoritative international design awards in the United States. Founded in California in 2007, it advocates for the sustainability, scientificity, and intelligence of design, with strict selection criteria. The awards cover five categories: architectural design, interior design, product design, fashion design, and graphic design.

Committed to drawing attention to outstanding works of global design that are anti traditional, conceptual, and creative. Intended to reward and promote creators who have achieved outstanding success in the international design field, and to discover emerging talents in architecture, interior, product, graphic, and fashion design worldwide.

ELD has selected several representative lighting design projects and participated in the award review of this year's IDA, achieving very gratifying results. A total of three projects have won the 2021 IDA Honor Award. In the future, ELD will continue to strive to present more exciting lighting design works.

Yixing Dongpo Pavilion

Dongpo Pavilion is a landmark landscape building of Yixing Yada Ecological Health Industrial Park. Built along the mountain, Dongpo Pavilion stretches and twists, hiding in the shape of the mountain and blending seamlessly into the mountains and rivers. The overall lighting design concept also changes with the mountain shape and architecture, and is integrated with the overall lighting atmosphere of the Yiyang Town.

The Dongpo Pavilion architectural complex consists of three mountain gates: Dongda, Qiankun, and Zhongbo, as well as a corridor. The main pavilion plaque reads "Dongpo Pavilion", taking the meaning of Su Shi's nickname "Dongpo layman". Dongpo Pavilion was designed by Mr. Zhu Guangya, a renowned figure in ancient Chinese architecture. The overall architecture of Dongpo Pavilion follows the official style described in the Song Dynasty's "Construction Method". The spatial imagery of the architectural complex is inspired by Song paintings, and the architecture echoes the natural landscape and stone forests.

Yada Yangxian Creek Mountain

Yixing Yada Town Center (Yada · Yangxian Xishan) is located on the south side of Yangxian Lake in Hujian Town, Yixing City. The project is nestled against the mountains and water, with pleasant scenery. The architectural form of the park is integrated into the mountains, waters, and tea gardens, creating an irreplaceable ecological environment for elderly care. The entire project showcases the profound cultural heritage of Yixing and the characteristics of traditional residential blocks.

As the living and commercial center of Yada Yangxian Xishan, as well as the tourist gathering center of Yangxian Ecotourism Resort, the town center takes into account the overall architectural landscape layout, business distribution planning, and pedestrian flow planning. Through the sorting of the overall architectural design and the use of different lighting techniques, the architecture, landscape, commerce, and tourists are organically connected, thus creating an elegant, peaceful, and hidden atmosphere of leisure in the mountains and waters.

Suzhou Bicester Village

Suzhou Bicester Village is the first boutique tourist shopping village established by the Bicester Shopping Village series in China, gathering nearly 200 international and Asian well-known fashion and lifestyle brand boutique stores, becoming a new commercial landmark by Yangcheng Lake.

The architecture of Bicester Suzhou Shopping Village combines Chinese and various European architectural styles. The overall spatial layout is centered around a central lake water feature, with four radial block axes radiating radially. Different blocks symbolize the image themes of international cities such as New York, Paris, Vienna, and Milan.

As the most important display part, the lighting design of commercial districts aims to showcase diverse architectural styles and create a rich and luxurious shopping environment atmosphere.
